We have the green light from the Middle Fork Ranger District to produce this event. The air quality and wild fires in the area have been taken into account and we're looking forward to another great trail race! (dated 8/30/23)
DISTANCES: 14M, 5.5M
START TIMES:
LOCATION: Hardesty Trailhead - west of Oakridge, Oregon
DIRECTIONS: Take I-5 to Hwy 58 (Exit #188A), heading towards Oakridge. Go approximately 20.7 miles on Hiway 58 to the Hardesty Mountain Trailhead on the right (south side of the road).
PARKING: The Hardesty trailhead parking lot has limited space. Participants will need to park along the shoulder of Goodman Creek Road, facing north (with the water to the right). Please drive up the road to a pull-out, turn around and then drive back north to the next available spot on the eastern shoulder of the road - this is a one-lane forest service road with pull-outs.
The Hardesty Hardcore Trail Run, hosted by Level 32 Racing LLC operates under a special use permit with USDA Willamette National Forest, and is an equal opportunity outdoor recreation service provider.
Hardesty Hardcore is the fourth event in the Run Big Trail Series (RBTS), a trail series for all levels of fitness.

The 14 mile "Hardcore" starts and finishes at the Hardesty Trailhead, climbing 3300 feet in the first 4.5 miles, descending 3300 feet in the next 4 miles, and then rolling for the final 5.5 miles. The 5.5 mile "forest-fiver" starts at the South Creek Trailhead and runs to the finish at the Hardesty Trailhead parking lot. Both distances are 100% single track trail.
The 14 mile event is very challenging, and has a 4 hour time limit. The 5.5 mile event is moderately difficult, with gradual ascents and descents and technical footing.
Participants in the 5.5 mile event will take a shuttle from the Hardesty Trailhead parking lot at 8:15am, up to the start. There is no parking at the 5.5 mile start.
Water, electrolyte beverage and light snacks will be available at the following points - 14 mile: 3mi, 4.5mi, 8.5mi, 12mi. & 5.5 mile: 3.5mi.
$50 - 14 mile event, $40 - 5.5 mile event (includes shuttle). Youth 17 & under and adults 60+, deduct $5. Add $5 for race day registration.
Tech Shirts Available for $18. A limited number of event shirts will also be available for sale on race day.
Entry Limit: Due to parking limitations, shuttle limits and single-track trails, this event has a participant limit. Register Early!

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winner and top three in each age group in each event.
