Event Description: A unique running/walking tradition with an Irish twist. There will be three race options: 5K Trail, 5K Road, or 10K Road/Trail Combined. 10K participants run both 5K loops (one Road and one Trail), with each participant deciding which loop they will run first.
Distances: This event features a 5K Trail run/walk, 5K Road run/walk, or a 10K Road/Trail combined run/walk.
Location: Dorris Ranch Park, Springfield, Oregon.
Directions: In Springfield, take Main Street to 2nd Street, turn south and proceed 1 mile to the park.
Courses: The 5K Trail course is entirely flat through Dorris Ranch Park on dirt and bark chip paths winding through the filbert orchards along the Willamette River. The 5K Road course will be revised for 2015, including a residential section along the river. The 10K covers both the 5K Trail course and the 5K Road course, with participants deciding which of the two loops they will do first. Registration: $20 for adults, $15 for youth 17 & under, for all events through Friday, March 13, 2015. Add $5 on race day. Long-sleeve technical shirts can be purchased for $12. Shirts are only guaranteed if ordered by Monday, March 2, 2015. Online registration will close at midnight on Friday, March 13, 2015. In-person registration at Eugene Running Company will close at 12 noon on Friday, March 13, 2015. Packet pickup will be on race day from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Awards:Awards will be presented in all three events to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in each age group. All participants will be eligible for random prize drawings.
